Efficacy and Safety of Knee Arthroscopy Guided Miniincision Surgery and Traditional Internal Fixation for Tibial Plateau Fractures |

Abstract ObjectiveTo compare the efficacy and safety of knee arthroscopy guided miniincision surgery and traditional internal fixation for tibial plateau fractures.MethodsFrom November 2014 to August 2016, there were 82 patients with tibial plateau fractures randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 41 cases for each. The patients in the observation group were treated with knee arthroscopy guided miniincision internal fixation, and the control group was treated by traditional internal fixation. The operation related results, knee function recovery and complications were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe amount of intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage in the observation were significantly less than the control group, and operation time, the duration to first out of bed after operation, length of hospital stay and fracture healing time were obviously shorter than that of control group. And the difference was significant (P<0.05). After 2 months and 4 months, the maximum angle of knee extension and the maximum angle of knee flexion were significantly higher in the observation group than that of the control group. And the difference was significant (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of the knee joint in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the complication rate was significantly lower than the control group. And the differences were significant (P<0.05).ConclusionSurgical treatment of tibial plateau fractures with knee arthroscopy guided miniincision internal fixation has the advantages of less trauma, quicker recovery, better recovery of knee function and higher operative safety, which is value of more clinical promotion.
