Clinical Effect of Ilizarov Technique Combined with Tarsal Vshaped Osteotomy Treatment for Traumatic Clubfoot |

Abstract ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical effect of Ilizarov technique combined with tarsal Vshaped osteotomy treatment for traumatic clubfoot.Methods70 traumatic clubfoot patients in our hospital were randomly divided into the research group and the control group, 35 cases for each. The research group was treated with Ilizarov technique combined with tarsal Vshaped osteotomy, while the control group was treated with traditional surgery. The ICFSG score, the Kofoed score, the complication rate and the recurrence rate of two groups were compared.ResultsThe ICFSG scores about ankle joint morphology, function, imaging and the total score of the research group were lower than the control group (P<0.05). The Kofoed scores of the research group were higher than the control group (P<0.05). The complication rate of research group was 5.7%, which was lower than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionIlizarov technique combined with tarsal Vshaped osteotomy treatment has exact effect for traumatic clubfoot. It can improve the ankle joint function and relieve pain with little recurrece. It's worthy of wild application.
