Abstract Objective? To discuss the rescue effect of the ligation of internal iliac vein and femoral vein on massivehemorrhageduring the pelvic operation. Methods?A retrospective analysis of treatment skills and effect was performed for two patients with massivehemorrhageduring the pelvic operation. One case was treated with ligation of internal iliac vein forhemorrhea associated with presacral vein injuryduring the rectal cancer operation, and the other case was treated by ligation of femoral vein forhemorrheadue to external iliac vein injury when the internal fixation of pelvic plate was taken out.Result?Bleeding was stopped completely for both two patientsduring the operations, anddischarged fromhospital in safety. Conclusion? The reliable ligation can achievehemostasis effectively and save the life for patients with massivehemorrhage associated with presacral vein or external iliac vein injuryduring the pelvic operation.
