| Clinical Application of Uterine Artery Embolization Combined with Rivanol and Mifepristone for PlacentalHemorrhage Induced By Middle and Late Pregnancy |

Abstract Objective?To compare the clinical effect of uterine artery embolization(UAE) combined with rivanol and mifepristone with simple rivanol combined with mifepristone in the treatment of placenta previahemorrhage in the middle and late pregnancy.Methods?A total of 72 patients with placenta previa in the middle and late pregnancy who needed to terminate the pregnancy were selected from May 2014 to May 2016.The patients weredivided into two groups according to the induction of labor: 38 patients as the observation group received the treatment of UAE combined with rivanol and mifepristone; 34 patients as a control group were treated by simple rivanol combined with mifepristone.The postpartumhemorrhage,bleeding,curettage,totalhysterectomy rate,postoperative complications,re-pregnancy time and re-pregnancy success rate were compared between two groups.Results?The bleeding volume of the observation group was less than that of the control groupduring induced labor,after induced labor and after curettage (P<0.05).There was no statisticaldifference in the incidence ofhemorrhageduring the induced labor,the incidence of postpartumhemorrhage,curettage rate and totalhysterectomy rate between two groups (P>0.05).Except abdominal pain,the post complications as fever,vaginal capillaryhemorrhage andhemorrhagic shock were less in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05).All cases were followed up for 12 to 23 months with an average of (18.5±5.74) months.No statisticaldifferences in the time and successful rate of re-pregnancy between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion?The UAE can effectively reduce the occurrence of postpartumhemorrhage and postpartum complications,andhave no significant effect on the fertility of the patients in the treatment of placenta previa in the middle and late pregnancy,and it is worthy of further research and application.
