Abstract: Objective To analyze the patients' ovarian function after laparoscopic ovarian cyst dissection under different menstrual cycles. Methods 120 patients with ovarian cysts treated in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as the subjects. They were divided into the follicular phase group (n=56) and the luteal phase group (n=64) according to different timing of operation. The levels of sex hormones and time of operation, the amount of bleeding, postoperative exhaust time, time of postoperative ambulation and the length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups before and after the operation. Results There was no significant difference in the levels of LH, FSH and E2 between the follicular phase group before and after operation (P>0.05). The levels of LH and FSH in the luteal phase group were significantly higher than the preoperative levels, and also were higher than that of the follicular phase group (P<0.05). The intraoperative bleeding of the luteal phase group was significantly more than that of the follicular phase group (P<0.05), but there was no difference between the two groups in operation time, ambulation time, postoperative exhaust time and hospitalization stay(P>0.05). The menstrual normal rate of the follicular phase group was obviously higher than that of the luteal phase group (94.64% vs. 82.81%,?P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of laparoscopic ovarian cyst dissection in the follicular phase is more significant, which has less interference on ovarian function and more conducive to ovarian recovery.
