The Clinical Application of Biological Fibrin Glue in Mesh Fixation during Laparoscopic Transabdominal Preperitoneal Prosthesis

Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the clinical value of biological fibrin glue to fix patch in transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis(TAPP).MethodsThe clinical data of 80 cases with inguinal hernia underwent laparoscopic TAPP were analyzed retrospectively from February 2014 To August 2015.During the TAPP,biological fibrin glue was applied to fix the hernia patch.ResultsAll 80 cases were successfully completed the laparoscopic surgery without laparotomy and intraoperative hemorrhea.Postoperative hematoma of the groin area was found in one case,and cured by physiotherapy,puncture aspiration and pressure dressing without postoperative local infection and dysesthesia and pain of inguinal region.All cases were followed up for 6 to 24 months without recurrence.ConclusionThe patch fixation of biological fibrin glue is a safe and effective technique with less complication in laparoscopic TAPP.
