Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the clinical value of vacuum-assisted closure(VAC)technique in the treatment of skin defect with infection of the limbs．MethodThe clinical data of 73 patients with skin defect with infection of the limbs treated by VAC therapy plus skin grafting were analyzed retrospectively．Results70 cases were cured after two periods of VAC treatment plus skin grafting．3 cases healed after three periods of VAC treatment．All cases achieved completely restoration during 12 to 24 days with an average of 17 days．ConclusionThe treatment of VAC plus skin grafting can accelerate wound drainage，control infection，and increase the grafting skin survival by promote the wound and skin to well-attached for skin defect with infection of extremities．
